Policy Leadership
African Section & Governance Leadership
As Chief of the Africa Section at UNIFEM, she led the "Peace Torch" initiative, which galvanised women-led peace networks across Africa. She also developed the Fund's global governance strategy, providing foundational support for women in power and politics.
Institutional Oversight
Her leadership extends to boards such as the UN Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD), Kenyatta National Hospital, and the Commission for University Education. She also serves as a founding member of the Huairou Commission.
